On behalf of a major client company, a leader in the international industrial production market, we are seeking a candidate for the position of:

HEAD OF PROCUREMENT / CANTON TICINO

The Head of Procurement is responsible for defining the strategic vision and direction of the Procurement function, overseeing procurement operations related to contracts, suppliers, and management reporting/dashboarding.

Collaborating with key members of the Management Team, the Head of Procurement works with all parts of the organization to influence the company’s financial results.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the overall strategic vision and direction for Source-to-Pay functions;
  • Lead, support, and train the Procurement team;
  • Ensure the quality and conformity of the supplied products;
  • Align with and effectively support internal stakeholders to fully meet their procurement needs;
  • Develop KPIs and performance measurements;
  • Collaborate with key existing suppliers to identify opportunities for creating business value;
  • Coordinate operational procurement;
  • Provide support to internal/external audit processes;
  • Provide the annual and monthly budget for all procurement costs.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Economics;
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in managerial/leadership roles within procurement or supply chain management;
  • Awareness of international contracts and experience in building supplier relationships;
  • Strong financial and contract management skills;
  • Excellent team management, stakeholder management, and communication skills;
  • Availability to travel.
